Difference between logistic regression and linear regression

Hey Everyone
I wanted to understand the difference between logistic regression and linear regression. I googled the same where it said that in linear regression the variable is continuous while in logistic regression it is binary. But while doing image classification we took pixel intensities which were continuous .Can anyone pls explain. Thanks

But the answer isn’t continuous.

You can’t say that the image represents 4.7 -> a bit of 4, but more like 5. It’s either 4 or 5, nothing in between.

Technically -I think- you can use logistics regression for continuous data if the scatter plot somewhat resembles a logistic function.
